Caucaia do Alto

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I documented the emergence of a community kitchen in Caucaia do Alto, on the outskirts of São Paulo. Born of urgency and sustained by solidarity, the initiative sought to confront child malnutrition while imparting essential knowledge of hygiene and health.
Through this lens, the project illuminates the quiet resilience of a marginalized, predominantly women-led community that faced crisis with an ethic of collective care, dignity and hope.
